Kuta Beach
Kuta beach is the closest beach to the airport. It is the most popular tourist destination in Bali. It is really a perfect place for those who like bars, clubs, surf, parties, and nightlife.
Kuta is an ideal place to learn how to surf. Here you can rent a surfboard for 5$ ( for 2-3 hours). You can also find here some heaps cheap options for drinks.
There are always a lot of people in Kuta and traffic jams don’t stop even at night.
Legian Beach
It is actually a continuation of Kuta, but a more respectable place. Legian Beach is the second most popular tourist destination after Kuta. It is a great surfing beach. We met in Legion beach a lot of surfers, but they are fewer than in Kuta, and the sea is more suitable for surfing than for swimming.
On Saturday and Sunday evenings, the beachfront is packed with tourists, locals, and motorbikes. There are also a lot of restaurants near the beach with very cheap and tasty food.
Seminyak Beach
Seminyak is a beach resort area in South Bali with luxury villas, hotels, restaurants and spa salons. It is the most fashionable beach in Bali and a quiet and prestigious place.
Seminyak beach is wide and spacious and very famous for its sunsets. This white sandy beach is favored by the high waves that are ideal for surfing.
By the way, you can see here a lot of red flags. They are an important part of the amazing landscape.
Canggu Beach
Canggu is a small village and 10km beach on the south coast of Bali. Canggu beach is very beautiful and wide with big waves. But this beach is not suitable for swimming because of high waves. You can go swimming to the nearby beaches or swim in a pool.
It is the best place for surfers to stay in Bali. Here waves are stronger and higher than in Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak. This is a great option for those who love surfing, walking along the beach, listening to the sound of the waves and watching the sunsets.
Echo Beach
Echo is a gorgeous beach with an unbelievable view. It is one of the best surfing points in Bali. In Echo beach, you can find a lot of sunbeds and a cafe bar.
There is a famous temple on the shore, which stands between the Echo beach and Changgu beach.
Echo beach is so perfect for people who want to live near the sea in a villa in the peace and quiet. Villas in Echo Beach are reasonably priced. From Echo beach you can go to restaurants and bars, that are located in Kuta and Seminyak- it will not take so much time.

Jimbaran Beach
It is a beautiful beach that stretches along Jimbaran village. Here are a lot of hotels and restaurants. Jimbaran beach is a long narrow strip at high tide, but at low tide, the water recedes tens of meters.
This beach is also famous for its fish market and fish restaurants, where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood.
Dreamland Beach
Dreamland beach located on the Bukit Peninsula. It is small and magnificent white sandy beach with turquoise sea, which is rarely getting calm. That is why the majority of tourists who came to Dreamland beach, standing on the seashore and don’t swim. Surfers love this place for the big waves.
You can come to Dreamland beach if you want to surf and going to sunbathe. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll swim. On the shore, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, drink coconut or eat in cafes.
Would you like to lie on a sunbed and see out outstanding view of the sea and listen to the sound of the waves? Then you will enjoy Dreamland beach!
Balangan Beach
Balangan beach is quite long and wide with yellow and small sand. This beach is famous for its spectacular view of the cliff and “Marian” landscape along the coast.
Here are a lot of cafes with sunbeds. The coast is covered by volcanic rock, which is overgrown with soft green moss. It looks beautiful and attractive for photographers, but you can’t go into the water without shoes. It is also hard to swim here, despite the fact that there are several hotels and a lot of sunbeds close to the sea. Only surfers can enter the water in Balangan beach.
Here we liked so much riding the bike to a winding scenic road that leads to the Balangan beach.
Are you looking for peace and quiet? Do you want to conquer the waves with surfing? Then feel free to choose a hotel near Balangan beach.
Padang Padang Beach
Fantastic Padang Padang beach is one of the best beaches on the Bukit Peninsula. We liked so much this beautiful beach with its pure water. We didn’t see here large waves, and it is very rare for Bali.
Padang Padang beach is quite small and cozy, and it’s very popular among tourists, it was before considered a secret and only the locals know about this beach. But its popularity has greatly increased after the famous movie “Eat Pray Love”, which is partly filmed in Padang Padang beach.
Umbrellas here can be rented, but there are no sunbeds. Here located a small cafe with drinks and fast food.
If the crowds of tourists don’t impress you, then you can move to the rocks and enjoy the beauty of the coast.
